Trip Description

What’s included: - 7-night accommodation - 7 breakfasts, 5 lunches, 4 dinners - 1 glass of wine with lunch - 2 glasses of wine with dinner - Transportation for scheduled day trips - Wine tasting fees - All entry/participation fees for activities mentioned in the itinerary Not included: - International airfare to/from France - Transportation from the starting/ending meeting location - Travel insurance - Personal expenses - Anything not mentioned in the itinerary This itinerary begins with pickup at the Nantes train station and concludes with drop-off at the Saint-Pierre-des-Corps train station. Day One: We begin in Nantes with a true coastal welcome—an abundant shellfish platter paired with different expressions of Muscadet, then head into the vineyards to visit my cousin’s winery in Muscadet Sèvre-et-Maine, where it all feels personal. Meals included : Lunch. Day Two: Today is pure Loire magic for wine lovers as we dive deep into Savennières, Bonnezeaux, and Coteaux du Layon, finishing with an elegant Michelin-starred dinner that proves this region’s food scene is just as serious as its wines. Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. Day Three: Saumur takes center stage with Saumur, Saumur-Champigny, and Saumur Puy-Notre-Dame, plus a walk through a troglodyte cave carved into limestone. Meals included: Breakfast and Lunch. Day Four: From the structure of Bourgueil to the finesse of Saint-Nicolas-de-Bourgueil, we taste how terroir shifts within miles, then at apéritif time step aboard a local fisherman’s boat to understand the river’s fish culture before dining with the Loire flowing beside us. Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. Day Five: After a relaxed morning, we wander the medieval cobblestone streets of Chinon, discover its Cabernet Francs, and stop at a local fromagerie because wine without cheese in the Loire simply makes no sense. Meals included: Breakfast and Dinner. Day Six: Explore the dreamlike gardens of Villandry and the stunning Château de Chenonceau before enjoying a relaxed Loire Sunday afternoon in Amboise. Meals included: Breakfast and Lunch Day Seven: Celebrate the Loire’s final day with visits to two outstanding Vouvray and Montlouis producers, finishing with a heartfelt farewell dinner to toast a week of unforgettable wines and experiences.
